If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary-wise; what it is it wouldn't be, and what it wouldn't be, it would

Lewis Carroll

Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (more known for his pen name : Lewis Carroll) (27 January 1832 – 14 January 1898) - famous for his Alice in Wonderland novels. He also is a photographer.
He deeply inspires many of todays contemporary artist with his, mystical, hallucination-like ideas.
I love reading Alice in Wonderland, its like my escape for the real world.
Lewis Carroll is one of my sources for inspiration. Talking flowers, hookah smoking catapillar, endless ideas come out of his work. Here are some of my favorite quotes:
[x] "Who in the world am I? Ah, that's the great puzzle."
[x]'The time has come,' the walrus said, 'to talk of many things: of shoes and ships - and sealing wax - of cabbages and kings.'
[x]"The rule is, jam tomorrow and jam yesterday - but never jam today."
[x] "Take care of the sense and the sounds will take care of themselves"
[x]"She generally gave herself very good advice, (though she very seldom followed it)."
[x] Oh, 'tis love, 'tis love that makes the world go round.
[x]'But I don't want to go among mad people,' said Alice. 'Oh, you can't help that,' said the cat. 'We're all mad here.'
David Lachappelle.

David Lachappelle is one of my tip top favorite photographers. He is probobly the best definition to what kind of art i like. I like to call this... Avant-garde.
Avant-garde
- adjective
1.) pushing the boundaries of whats norm.
He's taken pictures for magazines like vogue, worked with super stars (album covers etc.), various ads for companys (like skyy vodka) he also sometimes directs video clips. In his photography he involves nudity and a twist of pornography, which in my own opinion is why his work is so amusing. The contrasting vibrant colours the edgyness of it all. i love it. i love it all. Again i must limit myself this time i choose randomly because...their just all so good.
warning: some of these pictures are quite shocking, not for those under the age 13.

Audrey Kawasaki
Monday, November 3, 2008, 4:01 AM

Born on March 31, 1982. Audrey Kawasaki is a rising star in todays modern art scene or "Art Noveau" . She is known for her erotic (yes, that means sexual) portrayals of young adolescents. She usually paints with oil paint straight onto wood surfaces.
I must say that she is one of my favorite contemporary artists
Her mind seems to be endlessly overflowing with inspiration. The colours she uses are so soft against the wood. Her pictures to me are just wonderful. my mind is seemingly dry of inspiration the passed week or so, tis very frustrating.
Without leaving you in further suspense; here is my favorite pieces of work by her. (i'm really trying to limit myself here, i love them all!)

*i must say there are just so many to choose from, although i will shakily stick to these 5 and say they are my favorite. my mind will probobly change seconds after posting this, but oh well.
